Dahua

What can you do with Dahua and Niko Home Control?

Automate devices based on camera motion detection

If you connect your IP camera to Niko Home Control, your Niko Home Control ecosystem can automatically turn on the lights and send a notification when the camera detects movement.

The actions can be triggered in different circumstances:

  • always

  • only when you are away

  • only when it is dark

You can for example automate the following actions:

  • turn on outdoor lights and indoor lights to simulate whether someone is at home

  • receive a notification on your smartphone

  • check images via your camera system when you are not at home (depending on the functionalities of your camera system)

We recommend the following options to make even better use of this connection:

Automate devices based on the state of your security alarm

If you connect your alarm system to Niko Home Control, you can automatically trigger other devices in your Niko Home Control ecosystem when you arm or disarm your security alarm.

You can for example automate the following actions:

  • Activate the all-off routine, when you arm your security system

  • Close the shutters and blinds, when you arm your security system

  • Switch on the lights, when you disarm your security system

  • Receive a notification when someone disarms your security system

We recommend the following options to make even better use of this connection:

Get a notification when the security alarm goes off.

Get a notification when the security alarm goes off

If you connect your alarm system to Niko Home Control, you can get a notification if the alarm goes off. You will be informed via the Niko Home app on a tablet or smartphone and/or the Touchscreen.

We recommend the following options to make even better use of this connection:

Automatically switch on lighting in case of an alarm; see https://guide.niko.eu/en/smnhc2/lv/custom-routine.
