Custom routine
What is the Custom routine?
The routine Custom routine is a non-predefined routine to carry out the Niko Home Control programming. If you do not find a suitable option amongst the existing routines, you can create one yourself with the Custom routine.
A Custom routine puts one or more devices in a fixed configured state. If you press the connected push button, the start behaviour of the routine will be activated. If you press the push button again, the stop behaviour of the routine will be activated.
Starting point
You have created, for instance, the following controls and devices:
a ventilator system
a push button with LED
a switched lighting circuit
all devices you wish to use in this routine.
You are in the Create overview window.
Procedure
In the right-hand button bar, click on the Routine button.
Result:
The Routine pane appears.Choose the room as follows:
Choose Room from the drop-down list.
Click on the room in the drawing area or select it from the drop-down list.
Click on the arrow next to the category Free function.
Click on Custom routine.
Give the routine a name.
Set the behaviour as follows:
Behaviour What? How? A Choose the control(s) with which you want to start and stop the routine. Click on the plus signs of the controls you want to include in the routine.
B Choose the devices you want to control with the control(s) from behaviour A. 1 Click on the plus signs of the devices.
In this example, we use a switched lamp and a ventilation system.2 Under START, you can define the behaviour a device must display when the routine starts, or you can reuse a device.
In this example, we switch on the lamp and put the ventilation system in the highest position.3 Under STOP, you can define the stop behaviour of each device.
In this example, the lamp will be switched off immediately and the ventilation system will switch to medium speed after ten minutes.Under Parameters, set the following:

Start the routine automatically after a predefined period of time On/off
1 min. - 23 h. 59 min. 59 sec. When the routine is active and the parameter is set to "ON", the start behaviour is repeated after the time set as long as the routine is active.
At least one control or device is required for both behaviour A and behaviour B. If you do not add this control or device, the routine symbol will show a warning. Underneath the behaviour, the following message will be displayed: you have to add at least one control or device to complete the routine.
