B+B Sensors
What can you do with B+B Sensors and Niko Home Control?
Automate your shutters and blinds based on weather conditions
If you connect a weather station to Niko Home Control, you can control and automate connected devices based on the weather conditions.
If you have already connected your shutters and blinds, you can for example automate the following actions:
Close when there is too much wind
Close when there is too much rain
Close when the room temperature is too high and the sun is shining on the windows
We recommend the following options to make even better use of this connection:
Visualise the temperature and/or humidity measured by the weather station in the ‘Climate’ tab of the Niko Home app.
What do you need?
Also check the requirements for the shutters and blinds. For more information about compatible shutters and blinds, see Control your shutters and blinds.
Niko requirements
Your Niko Home Control installation meets the following requirements:
It has a connected controller II.
It is configured with the most recent programming software.
You need to install the following additional product(s):
One or multiple analogue sensor modules: 550-00230
You can connect up to three different signals (weather conditions monitored by the station) to an analogue sensor module. If you need more signals, you can add additional sensor modules to your Niko Home Control installation.
B+B Sensors requirements
The weather station typically has capabilities to monitor (one or several of) the following weather conditions:
Wind velocity
Temperature
Precipitation (yes/no)
