Release notes version 2.27.1

Software version and release date

iko Home Control version 2.27.1 includes an upgrade of both the Niko Home Control programming software and the Niko Home app.

Release date  

This version is used for Niko Home Control II installations. It is compatible with the connected controller and wireless smart hub and all products belonging to the Niko Home Control product range at the time of this release, unless otherwise stated.

How to install it?

This upgrade is provided as an automatic upgrade at start-up and can also be downloaded via the Niko website. For detailed instructions, see How to install the latest version of Niko Home Control II.

When should you use it?

Niko strongly recommends upgrading all Niko Home Control II installations to this version to guarantee the correct functioning of the installation. An upgrade is specifically recommended if the installation requires one of the following features or bug fixes:

New features

Compared to version 2.26.4:

  • Added widgets (incl. weather) to the NHC Touchscreens

  • The new Compact View allows putting more level 1 tiles on the screen

  • Control is now possible via the level 1 tiles, making control easier

  • General maintenance and bugfixes

Bug fixing

Compared to version 2.26.4:

General:
  • Improved reliability and stability

Niko Home app:
  • Fixed an issue where the SMA live data could not be displayed correctly

  • Improved the peek-outside functionality

  • Fixed an issue where the energy values were not rendered correctly on the overview screen

  • Fixed an issue where an Easee EV charging session in fast mode was abruptly stopped when additional load was generated within the installation.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented access control actions from being disabled for a touch profile.

Programming software:
  • General security updates and stability improvements

  • Fixed an issue where, under certain conditions, the Smappee charging station could not be discovered on the network.

  • Fixed an issue where the new thermostat for Niko Home Control could not operate in HVAC mode

  • Fixed an issue where the Niko Programming Software was throwing an error when changing the installation language

  • Fixed an issue that prevented ABB chargers from connecting successfully to Niko Home Control

  • Fixed an issue where the electrical power measurements for SMA inverters were not rendered correctly

  • Fixed an issue affecting the Sungrow inverter connecting via Modbus to Niko Home Control

  • Fixed an issue where the linked actions were not displayed correctly when configuring a Digital Black

  • Improved the robustness and overall experience when configuring a Smappee integration

Touchscreen for Niko Home Control:
