What can you do with Sungrow and Niko Home Control?
Gain insight into your solar energy production
If you connect your solar inverter to Niko Home Control, you can monitor the energy production by your photovoltaic solar panels (and battery). Based on this data, you can balance your energy consumption and save costs.
We recommend the following options to make even better use of this connection:
-
Get a complete overview of the energy flows in your home, including your self-consumption; see https://guide.niko.eu/en/umnhc2/lv/energy-insights.
-
Automatically switch high-consuming devices on or off, depending on the available solar energy; see https://guide.niko.eu/en/umnhc2/lv/solar-mode.
Gain insight into the energy flows of your battery system

Control your battery system, based upon dynamic tariffs
Connect your battery system to Niko Home Control via API and activate dynamic tariff control to optimise your energy costs automatically. The battery charges when excess solar energy is available and when electricity tariffs are at their lowest, including Time-of-Use and dynamic tariff periods. It then discharges during peak-price periods, maximising the value of your stored energy and reducing your electricity bill.
