What is Access control with extra bell button?

With the routine Access control with extra bell button you can connect a regular push button or a regular bell button (with push button interface) to a touchscreen, a chime or a door lock. If you push the push button, the chime will ring during a configurable duration. You can transfer the call to a touchscreen. If desired, you can accept the call on the touchscreen and open the door. It is also possible to link this routine to other basic actions or routines and to activate these or not when a call is coming in.

Starting point

• You have created the following:

  • an external video unit

  • a bell button

  • a door lock

  • a chime

  • all basic actions or routines you want to include in this routine.

Optionally, you can add more controls and devices than these in this list.

• You are in the Create overview window.
  

  

Procedure

1. In the right-hand button bar, click on the button Routine.
   Result:
   The Routine pane appears.
   

   

2. Choose the room as follows:

   • Choose Room from the drop-down list.

   • Click on the room in the drawing area.
     

     

3. Click on the arrow next to the category Access control.
   

   

4. Click on Access control with extra bell button.

5. Give the routine a name.

6. Set the behaviour as follows:

   Behaviour	How?
   A	Click on the plus sign of the control you want to use as a bell button.
   B	(optional) Click on the plus sign of the chime. This chime will be activated together with the touchscreen.
   C	(optional) Click on the plus sign of a door lock.
   D	(optional) Click on the plus sign of a basic action or a routine. In this example we choose to switch on the light in the hall.

   
   

7. Under Parameters, set the following:

Parameter	Choice	Description	Example
Ringtone on touchscreen	drop-down list	Choose a ringtone from the drop-down list.
Duration the chime is active	0 - 59 min. 59 sec.	Standard: 5 sec.
Duration the door lock is active	0 - 59 min. 59 sec.	Standard: 5 sec.
