Access control for motorized doors

What is Access control for motorised doors?

Thanks to the routine Access control for motorised doors, you can control a motorised door (e.g. garage door) and track its status.

The routine takes into account the following elements:

  • door contact or digital sensor contact that indicates whether the door is closed
  • (optional) digital sensor contact that indicates whether the motorised door is moving.
    Warning: this function must be supported by the motor type.

Starting point

  • You have created the following controls and devices:
    • door contact or digital sensor contact that indicates whether the door is closed
    • contact with which the motorised door is controlled
    • (optional) digital sensor contact that indicates whether the motorised door is moving
    • (optional) LED control
  • You are in the Create overview window.

Procedure

  1. In the right-hand button bar, click on the button Routine.
    Result:
    The Routine pane appears.
  2. Choose the room as follows:
    • Choose Room from the drop-down list.
    • Click on the room in the drawing area.
  3. Click on the arrow next to the category Access control.
  4. Click on Access control for motorised doors.
  5. Give the routine a name.
  6. Set the behaviour as follows:

    TIP: if you only wish to operate your motorised door using the app or touchscreen, do not select a control in this step

    Click on the plus sign of the control you wish to include in this routine.

    Click on the plus sign of the contact with which the motorised door is controlled.

    C

    Select the
    door contact
    or digital
    sensor contact
    that indicates whether the motorised door is closed

    Click on the plus sign of the door contact or digital sensor contact that indicates whether the motorised door is closed.

    OR

    D

    (optional)
    Select the digital sensor contact that indicates whether the motorised door is moving

    Click on the plus sign of the digital sensor contact that indicates whether the motorised door is moving

  7. Click on the Close button to return to the Routine pane.

  8. Click on the Close button to return to the Create overview window.
