Release notes version 2.25.2

Software version and release date

Niko Home Control version 2.25.2 includes an upgrade of both the Niko Home Control programming software and the Niko Home app.

Release date  

This version is used for Niko Home Control II installations. It is compatible with the connected controller and wireless smart hub and all products belonging to the Niko Home Control product range at the time of this release, unless otherwise stated.

How to install it?

This upgrade is provided as an automatic upgrade at start-up and can also be downloaded via the Niko website. For detailed instructions, see How to install the latest version of Niko Home Control II .

When should you use it?

Niko strongly recommends upgrading all Niko Home Control II installations to this version to guarantee the correct functioning of the installation. An upgrade is specifically recommended if the installation requires one of the following features or bug fixes:

New features

Compared to version 2.25.1:

  • Connected services:

    • Compatibility with battery systems with Sungrow, Huawei and SMA inverters. The battery data is visualised in the energy insights in the Niko Home app, and the priority of battery charging can be managed in solar mode.

    • Compatibility with solar inverters of Sungrow and Huawei.

    • The Easee API has been updated to improve connection stability, requiring authentication in the Niko Home app or programming software.

  • Programming software:

    • Support for large installations.

Bug fixing

Compared to version 2.25.1:

  • General:

    • Improved connection robustness for Daikin and SMA connected services.

    • Resolved issue where EV charging could suddenly stop when the normal charging mode was used.

    • Fixed the cleanup of Zigbee® devices after a Zigbee® network reset was performed.

  • Programming software:

    • Optimised readability on diagnostics page.

    • Fixed the issue where the detail was not correctly updated when switching between device on the map view.

    • Latest start time can now be entered correctly when configuring solar mode.

    • Resolved condition handling when one of the devices used in the IF part was offline.

    • Fixed the issue where the wireless contact could no longer be operated in a condition when a USB RF interface (410-00099) was used.

  • Niko Home app:

    • Enhanced error message display for EV car charging.

    • Fixed issue on iOS where the schedule settings could not be accessed when "Multiple tariffs" had been selected as the electricity tariff type.
