Release notes version 2.25.1
Software version and release date
Niko Home Control version 2.25.1 includes an upgrade of both the Niko Home Control programming software and the Niko Home app.
Release date
This version is used for Niko Home Control II installations. It is compatible with the connected controller and wireless smart hub and all products belonging to the Niko Home Control product range at the time of this release, unless otherwise stated.
How to install it?
This upgrade is provided as an automatic upgrade at start-up and can also be downloaded via the Niko website. For detailed instructions, see How to install the latest version of Niko Home Control II .
When should you use it?
Niko strongly recommends upgrading all Niko Home Control II installations to this version to guarantee the correct functioning of the installation. An upgrade is specifically recommended if the installation requires one of the following features or bug fixes:
New features
Compared to version 2.24.1:
New hardware:
Fluent integration of Niko Rocker and Niko Toggle for Niko Home Control into the programming software and Niko Home app. Each Niko Rocker and Niko Toggle for Niko Home Control can be used as on/off switch, dimmer, motor control or as two separate generic buttons (one when pressing up, one when pressing down) that can activate any device, action or routine in your Niko Home Control II installation on bus wiring.
Connected services:
Compatibility with the Renson Flux+ product range for D+ ventilation systems.
Minimum charging current can be adjusted in the Niko Home app (go to Energy parameters > Car charger) to match the technical specifications of your car. Entering the correct value will result in accurate status information in your Niko Home app and optimal use of the solar charging mode.
Programming software:
End of support for Windows 10. The Niko Home Control programming software is no longer tested and debugged for Windows 10. It is recommended to upgrade to Windows 11.
New connection centre in the programming software combines all functionalities related to the connection with your wireless smart hub or connected controller. This menu provides easy access to connection status, upload and diagnostics, but it also allows working without an active connection to the installation.
Regulatory compliance:
The wireless smart hub automatically deactivates wireless network connections not used in the installation to decrease the standby power.
Several security improvements.
