The DALI-2 fully addressable 2-channel interface module allows up to 128 DALI endpoints to be connected to a Niko Home Control installation. Addressing and programming of the DALI devices is done from within the Niko Home Control programming software, and no prior DALI knowledge is required. Each of the DALI endpoints can be configured and controlled separately, without the need to use any other DALI software or interface. The module comes with a built-in power supply, so there is no need to use a dedicated DALI power supply for the DALI bus.

Device type 8 (colour control gear) is supported in Niko Home Control, as of version 2.24.
Note: The recommended solution for colour control and tunable white is DT8. However, colour control is also enabled with DALI-2 addressable modules for Niko Home Control in a lighting network containing DT6 LED drivers that support an operating mode with dual DALI addresses.
The DALI-2 addressable module for Niko Home Control will detect LED drivers with a dual DALI addressing mode as two separate DALI devices.
One DALI address can then be configured to change the light intensity, and the other DALI address can be used to configure the colour or colour temperature.
Examples of LED drivers that support dual DALI addressing include the products from Lunatone with operating modes Balance & Dim or Colour & Dim.
Supported DALI control devices
DALI control devices such as DALI buttons and DALI detectors are not supported in Niko Home Control II.
