Powerline tool

Purpose

With this software, you can change the default communication channel of your Niko 2-wire IP digital access control system. This is only recommended if you have powerline devices in your home (such as Wi-Fi network adapters) and your access control system is not working properly even after resetting and upgrading.

Typical issues that can be resolved by using the Powerline tool include the following:

• The access control system fails after a power outage, while before it was working correctly  

• The internal video unit shows the following error message: “no external video unit detected” 

• The internal video unit does no longer receive the incoming calls

When you replace or add units, you have to repeat the process in the Powerline tool, as the complete access control system must communicate on the same channel.
