To adjust the global settings, the computer must be connected to the connected controller or wireless smart hub.
You can view/edit the following settings:
Setting
What?
Automatic upgrades
Set to “ON” to make sure the installation automatically runs the latest version and upload the configuration file to the installation to save the setting.
When an upgrade is downloaded, the connected controller or the wireless smart hub chooses when the installation will be upgraded. A notification is sent.
You can postpone (date and/or time) the upgrade in the Niko Home app.
If your mobile app profile has Configuration switched "ON", you can also activate automatic upgrades in the Niko Home app.
If the installation was initially configured using a version lower than 2.20.6, then automatic upgrades are default set to “OFF”.
If the installation was initially configured using version 2.20.6 or higher, then automatic upgrades are default set to “ON”.
Time zone and location
Time zone: The default setting is Europe/Brussels. You can configure this to synchronise the date and time for your installation over the Internet.
Location: Set to the location of your home in the time zone by default. You can configure this further to make the astronomical clock more accurate.
Date and time: You can set the date and time of your installation manually when it is not connected to the internet.
Centralised network
Configuration of the 3rd Ethernet port of the connected controller for a connection to a centralised network.
Energy parameters
Configuration of the energy parameters:
Capacity tariff: set to “ON” when the installation is subject to the capacity tariff (only relevant in certain regions, e.g. Flanders)
Capacity tariff limit: the installation will avoid to exceed the limit set
Electrical installation type: type of circuit breaker in the meter box (single-phase/three-phase)
Electrical capacity per phase: current indication on the circuit breaker in the meter box
The settings capacity tariff limit, electrical installation type and electrical capacity per phase are visualised when the capacity tariff slider is set to “ON”.
You can also set the energy parameters in the Niko Home app.
