Setting up an analogue control module 0-10 V or 1-10 V
Situation
This step-by-step plan explains how to set up an analogue control module in the Niko Home Control software.
Starting point
The starting point for this step-by-step plan is a project that already encompasses Project information and for which a plan was already drawn up or uploaded.
Step 1: Create an analogue output
- Go to Creation in the menu bar at the top.
- Click on add an output.
- Click on analogue output 0-10V or analogue output 1-10V in the list of options in the right-hand window. The output appears on the plan.
- Drag the output to the correct location and give it a recognisable name.
- Choose an existing location from the list.
Click on Add a location if the location has not yet been defined.
- Click on save to return to the Creation start screen.
Step 2: Change the output's values
- If necessary, click on the icon of the output you added to the plan to change the minimum and maximum values of the output.
- Click on save to return to the Creation start screen.
Step 3: Add an input
- Click on add an input.
- Click on single push button in the list of options in the right-hand window. The input appears on the plan.
- Drag the input to the correct location and give it a recognisable name.
- Choose an existing location from the list.
Click on Add a location if the location has not yet been defined.
Click on save to return to the Creation start screen.
Step 4: Add an action
- Click on add an action. The action will appear as a text balloon on the plan.
- Drag the action to a logical and appropriate place, e.g. to the relevant input or output.
- Give the action a name.
- Choose an existing location from the list.
Click on Add a location if the location has not yet been defined.
- Click on continue to go to the players tab.
- Click on the single push button and the analogue control module on the plan to link them to the action.
Step 5: Examine the basic behaviour
- Click on continue to go to the Basic behaviour tab.
- Click on predefined.
- Click on Which behaviour is this? to examine the predefined behaviour of the dimming control. A pop-up window will open.
- Click on close to close the pop-up window.
Step 6: Define the basic behaviour
You can also define the basic behaviour yourself.
- Select unrestricted.
- Enter the start and stop behaviour.
- Click on continue.
- Click on continue to go to the Conditions tab.
- Click on continue to go to the Time automation tab.
- Click on save to return to the Creation start screen.
Result
Continue with Cabinet lay-out and Realisation.
