Situation
This step-by-step plan explains how to set up an analogue control module in the Niko Home Control software.
Starting point
The starting point for this step-by-step plan is a project that already encompasses Project information and for which a plan was already drawn up or uploaded.
Run through the steps in
Adding a new project
and then
Drawing a plan
or
Upload a background image
if there is no existing project.
Step 1: Create an analogue output

Go to Creation in the menu bar at the top.

Click on add an output.

Click on analogue output 0-10V or analogue output 1-10V in the list of options in the right-hand window. The output appears on the plan.

Drag the output to the correct location and give it a recognisable name.

Choose an existing location from the list.
Click on Add a location if the location has not yet been defined.

Click on save to return to the Creation start screen.
Step 2: Change the output's values

If necessary, click on the icon of the output you added to the plan to change the minimum and maximum values of the output.

Click on save to return to the Creation start screen.
Step 3: Add an input

Click on add an input.

Click on single push button in the list of options in the right-hand window. The input appears on the plan.

Drag the input to the correct location and give it a recognisable name.

Choose an existing location from the list.
Click on Add a location if the location has not yet been defined.
A specific dim button can also be used to allow for three-button dimming functionality.
Click on save to return to the Creation start screen.
Step 4: Add an action

Click on add an action. The action will appear as a text balloon on the plan.

Drag the action to a logical and appropriate place, e.g. to the relevant input or output.

Give the action a name.

Choose an existing location from the list.
Click on Add a location if the location has not yet been defined.

Click on continue to go to the players tab.

Click on the single push button and the analogue control module on the plan to link them to the action.
Step 5: Examine the basic behaviour

Click on continue to go to the Basic behaviour tab.

Click on predefined.
-
Click on Which behaviour is this? to examine the predefined behaviour of the dimming control. A pop-up window will open.

Click on close to close the pop-up window.
Step 6: Define the basic behaviour
You can also define the basic behaviour yourself.

Select unrestricted.

Enter the start and stop behaviour.

Click on continue.

Click on continue to go to the Conditions tab.

Click on continue to go to the Time automation tab.

Click on save to return to the Creation start screen.
