Linking actions to a smartphone and/or touchscreen

This step-by-step plan explains how you add a touchscreen and smartphone to the installation.

The starting point for this plan is a project which already encompasses Project information, which involves a signed or uploaded plan and where several inputs, outputs and actions have already been added.

Run through the steps in Adding a new project and then Drawing a plan or Upload a background image if there is no existing project.

Go to the Creation tab in the menu at the top of the screen.

Click on the smartphone icon at the bottom right of the screen in order to add this to the installation.

The icon appears on the plan.

Drag the smartphone to a logical and appropriate place on the plan.

Click on the ‘+’ symbol behind the line of the action which you wish to control on the smartphone.

In this example, we would like to control the atmospheres via the smartphone and touchscreen; the other outputs can only be controlled via the touchscreen.

Click on save.

You return to the Creation start screen.

If multiple smartphones or tablets are connected to the same installation, you only need to add this icon to the plan once. The smartphones will have the same control options.

Click on the touchscreen icon at the bottom right of the screen in order to add this to the installation.

The icon appears on the plan.

Drag the touchscreen to a logical and appropriate place on the plan.

Click on the ‘+’ symbol behind the line of the action which you wish to control on the touchscreen.

If you have already connected a smartphone/tablet to the installation, the Niko Home Control software will automatically link these actions to the touchscreen. Click on the red cross behind an action in order to disconnect this from the touchscreen.

Click on save.

You return to the Creation start screen.

Now continue with Cabinet set-up and Realisation.

The Niko Home Control software automatically adds an IP interface to the image of the cabinet when you connect a smartphone/tablet and/or touchscreen to the installation.
