Automating lamps

This step-by-step plan explains programming time automation for the lamps in the living room.

The starting point for this plan is a project which already encompasses Project information, which involves a signed or uploaded plan and where several inputs, outputs and actions have already been added.

Run through the steps in Adding a new project and then Drawing a plan or Upload a background image if there is no existing project.

Go to the Creation tab in the menu at the top of the screen.

Click on add an action.

Drag the action to a logical and appropriate place.

Give the action a name.

Choose a location from the list of options or add a location if the location has not been previously defined.

Click on continue.

Go to the players tab.

Click on the lamps in the living room to link them to the action as players.

Click on continue.

Go to the basic behaviour tab.

Set the desired start and stop behaviour for the outputs.

In this example, we would like the dimmable lamps to automatically switch to 70% at 18.00. At 22.00, they must be switched off completely.

Click on continue.

Go to the conditions tab.

Click on continue.

Go to the time automation tab.

Click on add a time.

Enter the time at which you wish to start the action.

In this example, we would like the action to start automatically at 18.00 and stop at 22.00. The action must also only take place from Monday to Thursday.

The standard frequency is set to daily.

In order to indicate that the action must not take place on specific days, modify the frequency to weekly.

A pop-up will appear.

Click on the days on which the action must take place.

The tick in front of the days disappears.

Click on save.

The action will now start automatically on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 18.00.

Click on add a time to add the stop time to the action.

Click on stop in the first column.

Enter the time at which you wish to stop the action.

Modify the frequency to weekly.

A pop-up will appear.

Click on the days on which the action must take place.

The tick in front of the days disappears.

Click on save.

The pop-up closes.

Click on save.

You return to the Creation start screen.

Now continue with Cabinet set-up and Realisation.
