1-button dimming and motor control via smartphone and touchscreen

Situation

Adding an action to the smartphone or touchscreen whereby a dimmable lamp or roll-down shutter is controlled with a single push button is not possible. To allow these to be controlled via smartphone or touchscreen an additional action has to be set up. This step-by-step guide will show you how it's done.

The overview will guide you through the process for dimmable lamps as well as roll-down shutters. It also applies to dimmable lamps and roll-down shutters that are controlled with a single button and linked to a touchscreen and a smartphone. The programming logic is the same for both, but both are shown for illustrative purposes. This step-by-step guide can also be used for sun blinds and garage doors, but not for venetian blinds with tilting slats. You can use the touchscreen or smartphone to make the venetian blinds go up and down, but the slats will not be able to tilt.
