When should you use it?

An upgrade is specifically recommended if the installation requires one of the following features or bug fixes:

New features

Compared to version 0.197:

  • Adjustable daylight correction factor added:

    • Daylight control is now supported, which allows a flexible adaptation to individual room characteristics (window size and amount of incoming sunlight, reflection from walls and furnishings).

  • Additional output options in ‘Dimming Mode’ added:

    • This allows, for example, a standby light to be started or switched on at a specific dimming level (e.g. 30%) at night.

  • Simplified activation of semi-automatic mode

  • Optimizations for sending dimming values (relative and absolute dimming values)

    • Sending relative (e.g. ±1%) and/or absolute dimming values (e.g. 40%) increases the control of luminaires.

    • An additional switching object can be configured in the ‘absolute dimming’ module if the driver of the luminaire requires this for switching on.

  • Lock mode added (including ‘recall status’ function):

    • This function can be used to lock the detector’s status (e.g. for continuous lighting). Resetting the lock mode and manual operation can be done either manually or after a configurable time. The ‘recall status’ function takes the delay time of a (possible) motion detection into account within the lock time, so that, after having unlocked the detector, luminaires are not switched off when people are still in the room.

  • Three additional controllable light zones added:

    • You can now configure up to three additional light zones. All other light zones can be dimmed higher or lower using an individually adjustable offset value.

  • Optimization of system stability when programming the detectors

  • Text adjustments in the configuration menu

How do you install it?

If you still have an older firmware and would like to update to a new version, contact our Customer Service. An update requires a special software.

Warnings and known issues

Depending on the used KNX equipment and interface, the firmware update can take up to 6 minutes per detector.

Do not unplug the KNX bus connector immediately after the update has been completed. Wait at least three seconds to avoid the detector losing the new firmware.

Useful information

To configure all features via ETS software, the latest product database is required. Make sure that the used database matches to the installed firmware on the detector. This database is available in the ETS online catalogue. Alternatively, the database can be requested at our Customer Service, or can be downloaded from the website for the respective detector type.
