Manual use of the wireless battery-powered switch, twofold, Zigbee®
Configuration
Without a central gateway, the twofold wireless battery-powered Zigbee® switch acts as a stand-alone control (transmitter) and can be paired with up to 8 Zigbee® receivers (ON/OFF/dimming), such as dimmable LED bulbs.
RGB colour control and tunable white control are not supported by the twofold wireless battery-powered Zigbee® switch in stand-alone use.
The twofold wireless battery-powered Zigbee® switch supports both Touchlink pairing and Find&Bind pairing for stand-alone use in decentral networks.
Touchlink pairing
Reset all Zigbee® devices if they were previously connected to another network, before starting Touchlink pairing. See § Reset

Enable Touchlink mode with the receiver (for example, a Zigbee® bulb) and bring the twofold wireless battery-powered switch Zigbee®within 10 cm of the receiver. | |
Press the PROGRAM button at the back of the twofold wireless battery-powered switch Zigbee®for 2 seconds. The program LED will turn ON. | |
Press the button on the twofold wireless battery-powered switch Zigbee® twice within 4 seconds to enable Touchlink pairing. The PROGRAM LED will blink twice repeatedly for a maximum of 90 seconds and will search for a Touchlink receiver. | |
The twofold wireless battery-powered Zigbee® switch is successfully paired with its stand-alone Touchlink receiver when the PROGRAM LED turns ON for 4 seconds and then turns OFF again. |
When in stand-alone mode, a wireless battery-powered Zigbee® switch will not use the meshing capability and will not be upgraded automatically. For more details, refer to Zigbee® network principle
Maximum 8 Zigbee® receivers (ON/OFF/dimming) can be paired to the same wireless battery-powered Zigbee® switch
A battery-powered Zigbee® switch in stand-alone mode will not support any of the following Niko Home Control features: smartphone control, battery low indication, OTA firmware upgrade, flexible configuration to any receiver and others. For more information, see Connected Use
