LED behaviour on the wireless battery-powered switch, fourfold, Zigbee®

The feedback LED only becomes visible when the fourfold wireless battery-powered Zigbee® switch is dismantled and removed from the base, followed by a long press on the program button. The program LED is found at the back of the switch.

Program LED is flashing blue

  • The wireless battery-powered Zigbee® switch is trying to connect to the Zigbee® network and the battery level is sufficient

  • If the identify function of the Zigbee® device is activated via the diagnostics page in the programming software, the blue LED will start flashing once the wireless battery-powered switch Zigbee® is active (not in battery save mode)

Wait until the LED stops flashing. This can take up to 90 seconds. The blinking frequency depends on the pairing method:

  • 1 x repeated: EZ-mode (Niko Home Control or third-party network) pairing

  • 2 x repeated: Touchlink pairing

  • 4 x repeated = Find& Bind pairing. The LED turns red when the battery level is low

Blue LED is on for 4 seconds

The wireless battery-powered Zigbee® switch is connected to the Zigbee® network and the battery level is sufficient

  • The blue LED switches OFF after 4 seconds, after which the wireless battery-powered Zigbee® switch is ready to be used

  • The LED turns red in case the battery level is low

Program LED is flashing red

  • The battery level is low, which is indicated by a red LED.

  • The meaning of a blue LED that is permanently ON/flashing is described above


  • Replace the coin cell battery.

  • The red LED is not active during normal operation and remains OFF when the battery voltage level is too low


Program LED is continuously red
