Description
Push buttons for dimming are available as a single dimming control (three action buttons) or double dimming control (2 x three action buttons) with or without status LEDs. They allow the resident to operate one or two light points respectively or groups of light points, via the Niko Home Control installation.
Overview
Operation
The specific action buttons on each push button are arranged in groups of three. Each group consists of the following buttons: "A", "B" and "C".
Action buttons with status LED will indicate the status of their respective output. Using the programming software, you can program the LEDs to light up when the output is either activated or deactivated. This can be determined in the programming software.
The table below provides an overview of all action button functions.
‘Before’ status | Action | ‘After’ status |
---|---|---|
Light off | Briefly press "A" (< 0.4 s) | "Memory off" means the light intensity level will reach 100%. "Memory on" means the light intensity level will return to the previous setting, The "Memory off" or "Memory on" option can be selected during the programming phase of the installation. |
The light is switched off | Briefly press "B" (< 0.4 s) | Preference setting (standard 50%) |
The light is switched off | Briefly press "C" (< 0.4 s) | The light is switched on. The light intensity level remains at the lowest setting. |
The light is switched off | Hold down "A" (≥ 0.4 s) | The light intensity level will increase until the button is released or until the maximum level is reached. |
The light is switched off | Hold down "B" (≥ 0.4 s and < 3 s) | Preference setting (standard 50%) |
The light is switched off | Hold down "B" (> 3 s) | The current light intensity level is now saved as the new preference setting. |
The light is switched off | Hold down "C" (≥ 0.4 s) | The light is switched on. The light intensity level remains at the lowest setting. |
The light is switched on | Briefly press "A" (< 0.4 s) | The light intensity level will reach 100%. |

The light is switched on | Hold down "B" (> 3 s) | The current light intensity level is now saved as the new preference setting. |
The light is switched on | Hold down "C" (≥ 0.4 s) | The light intensity level will decrease until the button is released or until the minimum level is reached. |
Installation
The push button features an easy click-on mechanism for wall-mounted bus wiring controls. Mount the push button by pressing the connection unit onto a Niko Home Control wall-mounted printed circuit board until it clicks into place. A. Single flush-mounting box (not a Niko product) B. Single wall-mounted printed circuit board C. Push-button D. Faceplace
The following articles are required to install a single push button:
It will automatically connect to the Niko Home Control bus through two contact springs.
Mind the orientation of the push button: the spring contacts should be located at the bottom.
In closing, mount the faceplate (D) on the printed circuit board via the SnapFit mechanism.Installation diagram for single wall-mounted printed circuit board
