SMA: API connection
Please note that you can only link one inverter with your Niko Home Control installation, when using the API connection. If you want to link multiple inverters, you need to use the connection via measuring module(s).
What do you need?
General requirements
You have a computer with the most recent version of the Niko Home Control programming software, see Niko Home Control II release notes.
You have connected both systems to the same home network.
Niko requirements

SMA requirements
Your system meets the following requirements:
You have its serial number on hand. You can find the serial number on the SMA product.
It has an active internet connection.
MODBUS port on the inverter is enabled by your PV installer during installation.
When the MODBUS port has not been activated by the PV installer, you will have to enter the SMA installer password during the activation procedure to enable the port.
If you don't have the SMA installer password, please contact your PV installer or fill in the form on the SMA website.

Nach der Deaktivierung der Verknüpfung geschieht Folgendes:Die entsprechenden Funktionen werden aus Ihrer Niko Home Control-App verschwinden.
Ihre zugehörigen Daten in Niko Home Control gehen dabei verloren.
Beachten Sie, dass alle grundlegenden Aktionen und Routinen, die mit Ihrem Partnersystem verbunden sind, auch über die Programmiersoftware aktualisiert werden.
