What can you do with Niko Home Control?

Using Niko Home Control with your DucoBox you can do the following:

  • Control the ventilation speed
  • Choose the ventilation program mode (e.g. away, audio)
  • Check the CO2 concentration
  • Check the relative humidity level
  • Boost the ventilation

The Duco functions appear automatically in your Niko Home Control apps and your touchscreens after you activated the link between both systems. These functions can also be combined in routines/actions to control multiple items simultaneously via one simple button press (e.g. turn off all the lights and activate the ventilation boost to refresh the indoor air when pressing the leaving home button).

  • Available functionality within Niko Home Control depends upon the specific installation features of the DucoBox.
  • You can always use the Duco Ventilation app for more advanced settings and configurations.


What do you need?

General
  • No additional electrical wiring is required.
  • Both systems are connected to the same home network via cable and/or WiFi.
  • You have a computer with a web browser and an internet connection to set up the link between both systems.
A cabled connection is the preferred solution.

Your Niko Home Control installation meets the following requirements:

  • It has a wireless smart hub or a connected controller II.
  • It is configured with the most recent programming software (version 2.5.1 or higher).
  • It has an active internet connection.
  • It is registered and you have your e-mail address and password on hand.
  • If you want to use the DucoBox functions in combination with Niko Home Control actions, these actions need to be programmed with the Niko Home Control programming software before the link is activated.

Your Duco system meets the following requirements:

  • It is a DucoBox having a communication print.
  • It has an active internet connection.

The communication print:

  • comes as a standard with the DucoBox Eco.
  • can always be added to the DucoBox Silent Connect and the DucoBox Energy.
  • can be added to the DucoBox Focus, only when the printed circuit board shows version 2017.


How do you activate the link between your Niko Home Control and your DucoBox?

  1. Check if you have everything you need (see above).

  2. Go to https://mynikohomecontrol.niko.eu.
  3. Log in with your e-mail address and password.
  4. Click the  Connected services button. This is where you manage all the services linked to your installation, including the Duco system.

  5. Click the ALL tab or the Add another service button in the ACTIVE tab.

  6. Click the  Duco logo.

  7. Click Activate.

  8. Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the activation.


How do you deactivate the link between your Niko Home Control and your DucoBox?

  1. Log in to  https://mynikohomecontrol.niko.eu with your e-mail address and password.

  2. Click the  Connected services  button. This is where you manage all the services linked to your installation, including the Duco system.

  3. Click the ACTIVE  tab.

  4. Click the three dots next to the Duco logo and click Deactivate.
     

After deactivating the link, the following happens:

  • The Duco functions disappear from your Niko Home Control apps, your touchscreens and Digital blacks.
  • When used in Niko Home Control actions, the Duco functions will not be executed anymore.

How do you update the link settings between your Niko Home Control and your Ducobox?

  1. Log in to  https://mynikohomecontrol.niko.eu with your e-mail address and password.

  2. Click the Connected services button. This is where you manage all the services linked to your installation, including the Duco system.

  3. Click the ACTIVE tab.

  4. Click the three dots next to the Duco logo and click Manage this connected service. 


  5. Follow the instructions on your screen.
