What is access control with extra bell button?

With the advanced action Access control with extra bell button you can connect a regular push button or a regular bell button (with push button interface) to a touchscreen, a chime or a door lock. If you push the push button, the chime will ring during a configurable duration. You can transfer the call to a touchscreen. If desired, you can accept the call on the touchscreen and open the door. It is also possible to link this advanced action to other actions and to activate this action or not when a call is coming in.

Starting point

• You have created the following players:
  • an external video unit
  • a bell button
  • a door lock
  • a chime
  • all basic actions or advanced actions you want to include in this action.

• You are in the Create overview window.
  

Procedure

1. In the right-hand button bar, click on the button Advanced action.
   Result:
   The Advanced action pane appears.
   
2. Choose the room as follows:
   • Choose Room from the drop-down list.
   • Click on the room in the drawing area.
     
3. Click on the arrow next to the category Access control.
   
4. Click on Access control with extra bell button.
5. Give the action a name.

6. Set the behaviour as follows:

   Behaviour	How?
   A	Click on the plus sign of the control you want to use as a bell button. Screenshot behaviour A
   B	(optional) Click on the plus sign of the chime. This chime will be activated together with the touchscreen. Screenshot behaviour B
   C	(optional) Click on the plus sign of a door lock. Screenshot behaviour C
   D	(optional) Click on the plus sign of an additional action. In this example we choose to switch on the light in the hall. Screenshot behaviour D
