What should I be aware of during an upgrade?

In order to ensure that the upgrade runs smoothly, you must take various aspects into account. Here are a few pointers.

Switch off the antivirus and WIFI on your laptop temporarily and add ‘configurator.exe’ to the list of trusted software on your firewall.

Make sure that your computer is connected to the controller for the Niko Home Control installation using a patch cable RJ45-RJ45.

If you wish to upgrade a subsequent IP device, move the patch cable RJ45-RJ45 from the controller to the IP device.

Then give your computer time to recognise the new IP device.
