Situation
You are about to upgrade an existing Niko Home Control installation to an installation with a connected controller.
Starting point
You have an existing Niko Home Control installation containing a power supply, controller and IP interface.
Step 1: Make a backup of your programming
Firstly, make a backup of your existing programming file. This can be done via the programming software in the menu of the project information under save as.
Step 2: Create a back-up of your energy data

Open the Niko Home Control user software and at the bottom right of the start page, click on Energy.

Choose Backup and save the energy data.
Step 3: Position the connected controller

Remove the power supply, controller and IP interface from the installation

Position the connected controller.
Step 4: Modify the programming

Go to step three Cabinet lay-out in the programming software.

Open the existing cabinet and click on the right-hand tab Fill with modules.

Select the connected controller 6E.

A pop-up appears asking to create a back-up of your energy data. We have already done this in step 2.

In a following step another pop-up appears stating that several modules were automatically removed.

Continue to step 4 Realisation.

Choose the tab Address modules and click on the correct cabinet.

Press on a button of the connected controller to send the address to the installation.
Step 5: Upgrade your installation

Click on Upgrade at the top right of the programming software.

Follow the indicated steps in the upgrade procedure.
Step 6: Upload the programming to the controller

Go to step 4 Realisation in the Niko Home Control programming software.

Select the last tab Upload.

Upload the programming to the connected controller.
Step 7: Restore your energy data

Launch the Niko Home Control user software.

Click on Energy at the bottom right of the start page.

Then select Restore.
The stored information is then stored in the connected controller.
