Address missing

If an address is missing from a Niko Home Control component (control or module), you may see the following message during upload:

Module ‘xyz’ was not given a valid address.

This message means: The product with the name 'x' has no valid address.

In order to resolve this problem, go back to the address modules or address inputs.

The error message indicates whether it is a module or input that is incorrectly addressed. On this basis, you can choose the required tab in the realisation step.

Click on the module or input that is incorrectly addressed.

You can now enter the address for the module or input.

For a module, click on the ADDRESS button for the module in the electrical cabinet.

Click on the desired input, for an input.

The Niko Home Control software adds the address on the line of the module or input.

Click on save.

Click on the upload tab.

You can now upload the project again.

Click on upload at the bottom of the screen.

A warning will appear, indicating that the existing programme will be overwritten.

Click on upload.

Once the upload is complete, the software will report that the installation has been programmed.

Click on close project.

A warning will appear, asking if you wish to save the project.

Click on save.

You will return to the Niko Home Control software start screen.

The project is saved and closed.
