Add a new project from version 1.13 onwards

Situation

This step-by-step plan explains how to add a new project and how to modify the settings.

Starting point

The starting point of this component is after launching the Niko Home Control programming software.

Step 1: View the interface

Within the Niko Home Control software, a project means an individual installation.

Each project consists of four steps, shown at the top of the screen.

Step 2: Add a new project

Click on add new project.
Enter a name under the tab Project.
Enter a name under the tab Customer.

Names can be chosen freely and are not subject to any restrictions. All letters, numbers and special characters are allowed.

Enter a name, telephone number and e-mail address under the tab Installer.

These fields are mandatory. This data will be filled in automatically for future projects.

Select the type of controller you are using for this project, a connected controller 6E or a controller 2E

Click on save to return to Project information.

You will now see the name of the project at the top of the screen and in the name of the window of the programming software.

Step 3: View and modify the settings and time of the installation

Click on settings and time
Here you can set the further settings of the installation such as: the language of the installation, currency, measurement unit and time zone.

Only the language and the currency of the installation can be modified here. The selected language is the language that the customer will see on e.g. his touchscreen and display controls. The time zone is automatically copied from the computer and can be modified in the user software.

Click on save to continue to Creation.

If you close the project without saving, it will be lost.
