For an installation with version 2.16 or earlier, the link between Niko Home Control and Protherm can be activated and deactivated on mynikohomecontrol.niko.eu.

What can you do with Niko Home Control?

By using Niko Home Control with your  Protherm system, you can do the following:


Connected systems supported by 

MiGo app

MiGo Link app

Check and control the room temperature

Check the outside temperature

Choose the heating program mode (e.g. home, away)


Choose the operation mode (e.g. summer, winter, frost guard)


Check and boost the temperature of the hot water system


Choose the heating program mode (off, manual, schedule, away, boost) (*)


     

The Protherm functions automatically appear in your Niko Home Control apps and your touchscreens after you activate the link between both systems. These functions can also be combined in routines/actions to control multiple items simultaneously at a simple press of a button (e.g. turn off all the lights and reduce the set point temperature when pressing the leaving the house button).

  • The available functionality within Niko Home Control depends upon the specific installation features of the Protherm system.
  • You can always use the  MiGo app or MiGo Link app for more advanced settings and configurations.

  • No additional electrical wiring is required.
  • You have a computer with a web browser and an internet connection to set up the link between both systems.

Your Niko Home Control installation meets the following requirements:

  • It has a wireless smart hub or a connected controller II.
  • It is configured with the most recent programming software (version 2.17 or higher).
  • It has an active internet connection.
  • It is registered and you have your e-mail address and password on hand.
  • If you want to use the Protherm functions in combination with Niko Home Control actions, these actions need to be programmed with the Niko Home Control programming software after the link has been activated.
If you have not registered your Niko Home Control installation, go to mynikohomecontrol.niko.eu.

Your Protherm system meets the following requirements:

  • It is a Protherm boiler having an eBUS connection (except ThemaTek and ThemaClassic).
  • It has one of the following thermostats:
    • thermostat supported by the MiGo app
    • thermostat supported by the MiGo Link app.
  • It has an active internet connection.
  • It has a Protherm communication unit and you have its serial number on hand.

You can find the serial number of the communication unit:

  • on the backside or the inside of the unit below the barcode
  • in the MiGo app or MiGo Link app


How do you activate the link between your Niko Home Control and your Protherm system?

You have to set up the connection and functionality via the Niko Home Control programming software. Ask your professional installer for help.


How do you deactivate the link between your Niko Home Control and your Protherm system?

You deactivate the link with the Niko Home Control programming software. Ask your professional installer for help.

After deactivating the link, the following happens:

  • The Protherm functions disappear from your Niko Home Control apps, your touchscreens and Digital blacks.
  • When used in Niko Home Control actions, the Protherm functions will not be executed anymore.


How do you update the Niko Home Control basic actions and routines that use your Protherm system?

You update the basic actions and routines with the Niko Home Control programming software.
