For an installation with version 2.16 or earlier, the link between Niko Home Control and Daikin can be activated and deactivated on mynikohomecontrol.niko.eu.

What can you do with Niko Home Control?

By using Niko Home Control with your Daikin system, you can do the following:  


Daikin residential air to water heat pumps (Daikin Altherma range)

and

gas boilers (Daikin Altherma range)

Daikin residential air to air heat pumps

(air conditioning) 

Control and monitor the room temperature

Monitor the outside temperature

Control and monitor the program routine (e.g. holiday, automatic)

Control and monitor the operation routine (e.g. heating, cool, auto)

Monitor and set the heating/cooling system operation status (on or off)

Monitor and boost the hot water system


Control and monitor the hot water system program routine (e.g. holiday, scheduling)


Monitor, set and boost the fan speed


The Daikin functions automatically appear in your Niko Home Control apps and your touchscreens after you activate the link between both systems. These functions can also be combined in routines/actions to control multiple items simultaneously at the simple press of a button (e.g. turn off all the lights and reduce the set point temperature when pressing the leaving the house button).

  • The available functionality within Niko Home Control depends upon the specific installation features of the Daikin system.
  • You can always use the Daikin ONECTA app for more advanced settings and configurations. The Daikin Online Controller app does not support Niko Home Control.

  • No additional electrical wiring is required.
  • You have a computer with a web browser and an internet connection to set up the link between both systems.

Your Niko Home Control installation meets the following requirements:

  • It has a wireless smart hub or a connected controller II.
  • It is configured with the most recent programming software (version 2.17 or higher).
  • It has an active internet connection.
  • It is registered.
  • If you want to use the Daikin functions in combination with Niko Home Control actions, these actions need to be programmed with the Niko Home Control programming software after the link has been activated.

If you have not registered your Niko Home Control installation, go to mynikohomecontrol.niko.eu.


Your Daikin system meets the following requirements:

  • It is one or a combination of the following comfort systems:
    • Daikin Altherma air to water heat pump
    • Daikin residential air to air heat pump system (split/multi split airconditioning system)
    • Daikin Altherma gas boiler
  • It is equipped with a wireless/wired LAN adapter.
  • It has an active internet connection.
  • It is registered with the Daikin ONECTA app and you have your Daikin user account and password on hand.

The Daikin Online Controller app does not support Niko Home Control. Upgrade your app to the Daikin ONECTA app.


How do you activate the link between your Niko Home Control and your Daikin system?

You have to set up the connection and functionality via the Niko Home Control programming software. Ask your professional installer for help.


How do you deactivate the link between your Niko Home Control and your Daikin system?

You deactivate the link with the Niko Home Control programming software. Ask your professional installer for help.

After deactivating the link, the following happens:

  • The Daikin functions disappear from your Niko Home Control apps, your touchscreens and Digital blacks.
  • When used in Niko Home Control actions, the Daikin functions will not be executed anymore.
