Situation

This step-by-step plan shows you how to install three moods and one 'all moods off' button on a mood control. For our example, we take the combined living/dining room, and we install the moods 'relax', 'visit' and 'kitchen'.

Starting point

The starting point for this plan is a project in which all of the various inputs, outputs and actions have been defined.

Run through the steps in Adding new project and then Drawing a plan or Upload a background image if there is no existing project and then add inputs, outputs and actions.

Step 1: Add mood control

  • Go to Creation in the menu bar at the top.

  • Click on add an input.
  • Click on mood control in the options list in the right-hand window.
The 4-fold push button will appear in the plan.
  • Drag the mood control to the correct location on the plan and give it a recognisable name.
  • Choose an existing location from the list of options or click on add a location if you have not previously defined one.

  • Click on save to return to the Creation start screen.

Step 2: Create a 'relax' mood

For every mood that you programme, you must define an action. You can create a maximum of eight moods per mood control. In our example, we have limited it to three moods and an 'all moods off' button.
  • Click on add an action.
The action will appear as a text balloon on the plan.
  • Give the action a name that relates to the mood you wish to create.
  • Choose the location of the mood control from the list.

  • Click on continue to add players.

Step 3: Add players

  • In the right-hand window, click on Choose players.
The pop-up screen Players for Mood will appear.
  • Under inputs in the left-hand column, click on the plus in front of Mood control living room.
The eight push buttons for mood control will appear.

  • Click on the first button.
    A pop-up will appear.

  • Choose a symbol from the list and click on close.

The symbol you have chosen will appear on the display for the mood control.
  • In the location Living room, look for the plus in front of All outputs, in the right-hand column.
You can now choose All lamps or All outputs.
  • Click on All lamps.

  • Select all lights in the Dining room location in the same way.
  • Close the pop-up.
In the right-hand window and on the plan, you can see which outputs are linked to the mood button.

  • Click on continue to go to the Basic behaviour tab.

Step 4: Set the basic behaviour

  • In the right-hand window, select switch on as basic behaviour.
    A pop-up will appear.
  • Click on OK to close the window.

When you select switch on as basic behaviour, the standard start behaviour for all linked outputs is on. If you select switch off, the standard start behaviour is off.
  • For every dimmable light, set the required values for this mood.
In the example below, we have turned off a few lights and reduced the intensity of several dimmable lights in order to create a 'relax' mood.

In case of dimmable lamps, you will see an extra parameter on the right-hand side, which is automatically set to 5 seconds. This is the activation time, i.e. the time it will take the dimmable lamp to go from 0 to 100% intensity. For example, if the dimmable lamp is set to 80% with a 5-second activation time, it will take the lamp 4 seconds to burn at 80% intensity.

  • At the bottom of the screen, click on continue to go to the Conditions tab.
In our example, we work without conditions.
  • Click on continue to go to the Time automation tab.
In our example, we work without time automation.
  • Click on save to return to the Creation start screen.
  • Repeat these steps in order to create the moods 'visit' and 'kitchen'.

Step 5: Create an 'All off' button

  • Go to Creation in the menu bar at the top.
  • Click on add an action.
  • Give the action a name (e.g. 'All moods off') and location and drag this to the correct location on the plan.
  • Click on continue.

Step 6: Select an input

  • Click on Choose players.
The pop-up screen Players for All moods off will appear.
  • In the location Living room, in the left hand column by inputs, click on the plus in front of Mood control living room.
  • Select the button that you wish to use (in this case, the fourth button).
  • Select the off symbol.

  • Click on close.

Step 7: Select the outputs

  • In the locations Living room and Dining room, click on the plus in front of outputs, in the right-hand column.
  • Select All lamps.
  • Click on close.
  • Click on continue to go to the Basic behaviour tab.

Step 8: Select basic behaviour

  • Select switch off as basic behaviour.

When you select switch off as basic behaviour, the standard start behaviour for all linked outputs is off. If you select switch on, the standard setting is on.

  • Click on continue to go to the Conditions tab.
  • Click on continue to go to the Time automation tab.
  • In the tab Time automation, click on save.
