What can you do with Niko Home Control?

Using Niko Home Control with your Mitsubishi Electric system you can do the following:   

  • Control and check the room temperature
  • Check the outside temperature
  • Check the CO2 concentration
  • Choose the heating program mode (e.g. home, away)
  • Choose the operation mode (e.g. heat, dry, cool, fan, auto)
  • Control the fan ventilation speed (e.g. auto, speed 1 or speed 2)
  • Boost the hot water system
  • Turn your Mitsubishi Electric system on or off
  • Control multiple rooms individually

    

The Mitsubishi Electric functions appear automatically in your Niko Home Control apps and your touchscreens after you actived the link between both systems. These functions can also be combined in routines/actions to control multiple items simultaneously via one simple button press (e.g. turn off all the lights and reduce the set point temperature when pressing the leaving home button ).

  • Available functionality within Niko Home Control depends upon the specific installation features of the Mitsubishi Electric system.
  • You can always use the MELCloud app for more advanced settings and configurations.

General
  • No additional electrical wiring is required.
  • You have a computer with a web browser and an internet connection to set up the link between both systems.

Your Niko Home Control installation meets the following requirements:

  • It has a wireless smart hub or a connected controller II.
  • It is configured with the most recent programming software (version 2.6 or higher).
  • It has an active internet connection.
  • It is registered and you have your e-mail address and password on hand.
  • If you want to use the Mitsubishi Electric functions in combination with Niko Home Control actions, these actions need to be programmed with the Niko Home Control programming software before the link is activated.

Your Mitsubishi Electric system meets the following requirements:

  • It is a Mitsubishi Electric airconditioning or a heat pump system (air/air and air/water) or a Mitsubishi Electric Lossnay “ventilation” system.
  • It is equipped with a WiFi adapter.
  • It is compatible with MELCloud cloud platform.
  • It has an active internet connection.
  • It is registered and you have your MELCloud user account and password on hand.

How do you activate the link between your Niko Home Control and your Mitsubishi Electric system?

  1. Check if you have everything you need (see above).

  2. Go to https://mynikohomecontrol.niko.eu.
  3. Log in with your e-mail address and password.
  4. Click the Connected services button. This is where you manage all the services linked to your installation, including Mitsubishi Electric.

  5. Click the ALL tab or Add another service.

  6. Click the Mitsubishi Electric logo.

  7. Fill in your Mitsubishi MELCloud user account and password and click Activate.

  8. Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the activation.



How do you deactivate the link between your Niko Home Control and your Mitsubishi Electric system?

  1. Log in to  https://mynikohomecontrol.niko.eu with your e-mail address and password.

  2. Click the  Connected services  button. This is where you manage all the services linked to your installation, including Mitsubishi Electric.

  3. Click the ACTIVE tab.

  4. Click the three dots next to the Mitsubishi Electric logo and click Deactivate.

     

After deactivating the link, the following happens:

  • The Mitsubishi Electric functions disappear from your Niko Home Control apps, your touchscreens and Digital blacks.
  • When used in Niko Home Control actions, the Mitsubishi Electric functions will not be executed anymore.


How do you update the link settings between your Niko Home Control and your Mitsubishi Electric system?

  1. Log in to  https://mynikohomecontrol.niko.eu with your e-mail address and password.

  2. Click the Connected services button. This is where you manage all the services linked to your installation, including Mitsubishi Electric.

  3. Click the ACTIVE tab.

  4. Click the three dots next to the Mitsubishi Electric logo and click  Manage this connected service.

  5. Follow the instructions on your screen.
